She isn't the biggest fan of her glasses, though

Little sweet pie LOVES the keyboard. I know you will think I'm just making that up, or it is wishful thinking, but I'm serious! If I sit her on my lap and play some notes, she gets so excited and bounces up and down and then makes me let her play some! Sometimes she'll go up to the keys, reeeaaaaccchhhh up and play some of the keys :) It is so stinkin' cute!

Future Mozart...er...maybe future Schumann - Clara Schumann :) Or maybe a future Fitzgerald...Ella Fitzgerald!

Poor BABY!!!

Well, today we had a bit of a fiasco with Ella! Poor little Sweet Pie! She was playing in the DVD's and slipped and smashed her face into the tile floor! Needless to say she cut up her lip pretty bad and bled for a LOOOONG time. Even this evening it still bleeds.....

I checked the cut and it is just kind of cut up under her lip along her gums. It's not TOO bad, but every now and then she would bump it and start to cry again...with real tears and everything! SO SAD!

She's okay now, and even laughs and smiles and eats food okay, but still...I can tell it hurts her :( Poor thing!!!!

Single Mother...

Yes. I am officially a single mother starting two days ago (Monday) and on through the 18th. I am a single mother that happens to be sleeping in the same bed as a med student! Haha! :)

This week is study time for Block 3 Exams, which will be on Monday....then next week is study time for Finals, which is the NEXT Monday. *sigh* So far our schedules consist of this:

Tom:
7:00a.m. Wake up
7:40a.m. Leave for School
8:00-11:30a.m. Class
11:30-12:00 p.m. LUNCH
12:00-6:00p.m. Study
6:00-6:45p.m. Dinner with Laura and Ella
6:45-10:00p.m. Study

Yep...that's right....8:00a.m.-10:00p.m. Tom is at school

Ella:
7:30 Wake up
8:00 Breakfast
8:45 Bath
PLAY TIME
10:00-12:00 Nap
12:00 Lunch (and sometimes a second bath, depending on what Lunch is!)
PLAY TIME
3:30-5:00 Nap
6:00 Dinner time with Dad!
PLAY TIME
8:00 Bed time

Me:
7:00 Wake up
7:15 Make Tom's lunch
8:30 Feed Ella
8:45 Bathe ella
10:00 Put Ella down for a nap
wait for ella to wake up...
12:00 Feed Ella
12:15 Bath again, if necessary
play with ella
3:30 Tired of playing, baby is fussy - down for nap
wait for Ella to wake up....
5:00 Get Ella ready for dinner...
6:00 DINNER WITH DAD!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!
6:45 go home from dinner....without dad :(
8:00 Put Ella down to bed
wait for ten o'clock to roll by....
10:00 PICK UP DAD!!!!! :)

I have a feeling it will be a loooooooooooooooooooong two weeks!

All About Me!

Well, I figured that since I have about a bajillion posts about Ella and the island life, that I would focus this one on me a little bit. I got the idea from Amber (thanks! :)) so hopefully you enjoy...

My Hometown:

Camarillo, California. A beautiful little diamond of a community in Southern California located between the fast life of Los Angeles and the retirement capitol of Santa Barbara and just inland of the beach and strawberry fields. It is tucked away in the orange orchards....

Favorite Food:

Does candy count? Okay, that is kind of cheating :)

Favorite Place:

Vienna, Austria. I think every musician has a little bit of Vienna in them.

Place I currently live:
St. Maarten, Netherland Antilles...too bad they don't have a picture of the REAL St. Maarten. It would look like a black guy walking down the street wearing only a pair of shorts and flip flops, ransacking every car he comes across. Meanwhile, there is a dog pooping on the side of the road, and the owner is yelling at a white person just because he wants to. Also, to the side of the pooping dog is a black lady totally ripping a lady off in a little tourist shop. Just in front of this scene, there is traffic backed up halfway across the island because the bridge is up...or all the taxi cabs decide to stop in the middle of the road to say hi to their taxi cab buddies in the lane on the opposite side of traffic....

Yeah...they didn't have a picture of that.

Place where I would like to live:

Yes. That is Disneyland. I want to live in the castle...and I would kick everyone off my property. :)
